there is the Word the Word unseen yet on my heart it lies the Word unseen and uncreated yet bringing all to rise uncreated Word Yet still it draws the Light out of the darkness the Word that draws life to prevail through strife and worldly harness prevailing Word one and only Word cutting through serpent’s tales One and only Word to reconcile those who alone would fail to reconcile the coming Word is taking all our shame the coming Word Meets us and Father That He may say our name children and Father One again All those who have now heard One again With Truth and Light salvation through The Word
While some Christians have already been celebrating Advent, many more Christians will begin the season of preparation for the birth of our King and Savior today. I hope you enjoyed my poem as I’ve found myself pondering Jesus as Logos and am eager for The Word to reveal himself to us again. I pray this season brings you hope, joy, love and peace in this time of waiting.
Wonderful poem. Thank you, Derek.
